There's no RCA inputs in the 2005 MDX. I did some research and ended up with an IPOD connection from Crutchfield, "581PA11H2Y USA Spec IPOD Interface Honda with CAS HON2y Cable"
http://www.crutchfield.com/I-rMANc0...tailed_info#Tab
I was going to bring it to Circuit City to install but I found some instructions on the web and ended up installing myself.. took maybe 30-45 minutes.
Overall, it works great!
thanks,

1 connect the RCA"s on the back connection with your IPOD red and black with the 2,5mm plug use the AUX.

2 get a FM http://www.griffintechnology.com/pr...iplcd/index.php
And for the tv you need this one

good luck
As an iPod interface for my 2005 MDX (with Navi, but no RES), I've been very pleased with Blitzsafe’s "HON-MLINK1 VX2", which was a breeze to install, charges my iPod while connected and does not interfere with the existing Navi, XM or in-dash CD changer. Since it connects directly to the base connector on the ipod, I find that it also provides superior sound quality to connecting via an adaptor with RCA's.
Once connected to back of the head unit (which can be done from underneath without total head unit removal, by the way), I routed my cable into the glovebox. It's just a personal preference, but I don't like the idea of a loose cable coiled up under the radio all the time. The glovebox door can remain closed even with the cable extended and, when not in use, the cable (and the iPod) can be kept out of sight in the glovebox
And as for FM transmitters, save your money and don't bother! Their sound quality is HORRIBLE, even from better quality units like the Kensington. I held on to mine with the idea of using it in rental cars while traveling, etc, but the audio input jack found in many new cars is still far superior than an FM transmitter and only requires a $5 cable to run from the earphone out of the iPod.
Best of luck! |
