I'm pretty much sold on the Acura MDX - I'm ready to buy but refuse to until Acura comes out with more information on the 2008 model...by showing it at an auto show and discussing what will change...last year there was a thread on this and Acura introduced the new model in April of 2006 and started selling the 2007 model in October 2006. I have looked all over the net and in this forum and have seen nothing - now it is just about June 2007 and no announcements by Acura, etc. Does anyone have info. - any info?? I know the changes will most likely be minor but some minor changes could be important to me and other buyers...
Also, can the navigation system be upgraded with new software as Acura improves their nav system? I read somewhere that we will be stuck with 2007 technology for as long as we own the car...if this is true perhaps aftermarket navigation systems will be a better buy? |

Acura is usually pretty tight-lipped about the upcoming changes. You probably won't hear anything definite until August or so. There will be LOTS of rumors though between now and then.;) |

| Possibly a factory installed keyfob activated remote starting system may see its way into the 2008 model year... |

| I expect very few changes from the 1st to 2nd years. Usually Acura does minor cosmetic changes in year #4. |

I'm in the same boat. Although I am ready to buy now, I will wait for a 08 mainly to get the TSBs all in production, make sure I get the revised headrest and not to take the depreciation hit of a 07 come trade in time. Drive low miles so my trade value is more MY related than mileage.
I have a 02 X that I bought in fall of 02, but should have waited a few weeks for a 03. They improved wind noise over 01, but didn't get the tranny fixed till 03. Plus resale of a 03 at 35K miles more than makes up for purchase price difference.
I hope the reprogram the back-up camera to activate faster and give us the keyless start as in the RL. I'll be a happy camper even if few changes for 08. |
