I was wondering what you do if two (or more) people who both have their phone programmed to the car get in, which phone does it go to? If it goes to the phone you don't want, how do you switch phones? Is there a different way to switch from the car speakers back to the phone other than saying "transfer?"

I am new to this. Any help is awesome. Thank you.

First phone that teh system connects to is the primary phone. This is typically the first person in the car, but if not, it is in the order you paired the phones (I beleve, this is how it has worked for us).

To switch phones use voice command "Next Phone".

"Transfer" transfers calls between the handset and the car system and back so when you get in the car you can continue a call using handsfree and when you get out you can continue your call using the handset.

I was reading, and I think I came across it. You say "Next Phone," and it goes to the next one. Saying "Transfer" switches it from your car's speakers back to the phone itself, or vice versa.

Isn't the manual a wonderful thing?
You can also say "list" to list all the paired phones that the car finds.
The order of pairing is:
Last phone paired is searched and paired first, the next time the vehicle is started.
If not found, then continue down the "List" list to the next phone.
I've gotten pretty handy with the HFL. We have three paired phones that have work, his, or hers functionality.

Do yours go in and out at all? My Blackberry 8703e from Verizon goes in and out. On my phone screen it goes "Connected..." then "Disconnected..." and keeps going back and forth. Anyone experience this? I have already tried repairing and doing all that.

No. Pairing is completely transparent to me.
If your phone or the HFL is saying Connecting and Disconnecting, this is not Pairing and Unpairing.
Your phone is calling AcuraLink to snitch on your diagnostics. Many people don't realize this, but Acuralink uses your paired phone to dial AcuraLink. This is the basis of "Acuralink". Your phone sends your diagnostics to AcuraLink, and messages are sent back to you through the XM radio unit.
When you set up Acuralink, you agree to this use.

Well at the same time it is doing what you are saying, the bluetooth is also connecting or disconnecting. It has a little arrow next to the bluetooth sign when connected, and is without that arrow when it is not connected with anything. What are you suggesting may be the problem?

Is this for pre 07 Acuralink? I read it in the manual the AcuraLink messages/reminder only works when you continue to subscribe to XM services. This is working thru XM not your Bluetooth paired phone. Otherwise you'll be looking at a very expensive billing from your cellular phone company.
