I am curious to know how does the dealer acquire the Honda ATF-Z1 in bulk quantity. I know they source it from a "parts distributor" but where does the parts dist get it from ? Directly from Honda ? in a sealed container ? Or does he mix his own before sending it to the dealer ?
How do we know if the ATF they put in our transmission is 100% Z1 ?
I have reason to believe there is some adulteration/mixing going on somewhere in the supply chain. Maybe its the distributor, maybe its the dealer. |

Are you writing in general or about your particular dealer/supply chain?
What do you consider to be a sealed container?
What causes your suspicions?

It's distributed through local lubricant warehouses because their trucks are properly certified and placarded. It comes to us in quart bottle form, however there may be bulk in drums available, not sure.
If a dealer uses something else, they're in direct violation of their service franchise agreement, NOT something a dealer wants to play around with. |

the answer to that may be the key. I am getting conflicting response from dealers - some say they just use the 1qt bottles, some say they use the "bulk" package. Maybe they are right, but the big question at this point is - Does Z1 even exist in bulk packaging or only in 1QT bottles ? |
