I've become accustomed to the seemingly loud noise when locking and unlocking my car doors, however whenever people get into my car, they complain about how loud it is.
Is this normal? I haven't had time to go and check this out but would like to know what others have experienced. |

Are you talking about the audible alarm tone, or the sound of the actuators locking and unlocking the doors?
If it's the alarm chirp, I believe you can set a lower volume through the FOB key settings. (not sure on this, but I think you can)
If it's the actuators, your friends must have dog ears... ha, ha! I can hear mine lock/unlock, but it gives me piece of mind that I actually to locked my car. |

i believe its the actuators. they are definitely much louder than any car i've owned.
I'll have to check with a model at the dealer to see if its normal when i get a chance. |
