After the car has been parked and I start to accelerate I hear a fairly loud pop when I turn the steering wheel to the left. I don't hear the pop noise every time and am not sure what to make of it.
I had my tires rotated and balanced today and the tech heard the same noise that I'm describing. He inspected the left rear tire area but wasn't sure what the problem was. Has anyone experienced anything similar? I'm going to schedule an appointment with the dealer next week and would love to have something specific to tell them to look for.
2003 MDX with approximately 47,000 miles. The X was still under factory warranty in April but may not be now.

The Acura dealer looked at our MDX today and the problem was with the left rear brake. Apparently non-dealer work was done on the brakes before we owned the vehicle and they weren't adjusted properly. Amazingly enough our '03 MDX is still under factory warranty (I was certain that May '07 would be the cutoff). We didn't pay a dime!

| There is a TSB out (04-009, dated June 4, 2004) where a defective shim on the outer rear brake pads can cause a clunk if you apply the brakes after first turning the vehicle. |
