| Does anyone know of similar incident to this? 2002 MDX shifted from reverse (after stopping of course) to drive, followed by hesitation with no response or movement when accelerator pushed. RPM's run up as driver attempts to get the vehicle going, which then bangs into gear and surges rapidly forward toward a tree and a wall? Research indicates this may be common problem and may occur at any shift point - that is, delayed shift, RPM's go up as acceleration continues, bang into gear, lurch or surge forward. Acura dealer says cannot duplicate, and must have been driver error. Look forward to similar experiences and what can be done to anticipate or avoid. |
