Hello, I imported an 06 MDX last summer (Purchased in Ohio) licensed in Ontario. As far as I can tell Acura are not going to honour the warranty. SO far I have had zero issues, but my dealer provided maintenance will be switched to an independant if I find I have zero coverage. Anybody make a claim that was covered on your US SPec MDX in Canada?

Is it branded as a rebuilt? If so, then it will not be covered under any warranty.

No, the vehicle was purchased with 6,000 miles from Acura Columbus and brought back to Canada. Acura USA has been as unhelpful as possible because they consider the car Gray market now. With the current exchange rate, you can save 15K or so by buying a slightly used vehicle.

I think you will find that the warranty does not extend from the USA to Canada. I assume this is to discourage people from taking a US vehicle to Canada, for the purchase price savings, which would cause many to go to the USA, rather than buying at a Canadian dealer.I guess you save on the price but get no warranty. On a positive note, my 06 has been problem free for 24,000 miles. Also, as the last MDX before redesign, all the bugs are likely worked out. |

Mine has had Zero issues at 21,000 miles. I wonder if It would be covered if i took it to buffalo NY if ever i need a big ticket item? I know on my sales contract it said the vehicle had a warranty.
