Definitely search on iPod.
I bet you could find a used Nav system from a wrecked MDX and put it in relatively cheap, but buying one from Acura/Honda is going to be spendy. Make sure you get all the wiring, disk, player, etc. if you buy one out of a wrecked car. Plus you'll need the VIN of the wrecked car in order to get a code to activate the radio and nav.
Overall it might be cheaper/easier to just go buy a Garmin Nuvi or something.
The search button is your friend. You'll find all sorts of great stuff. Just remember that it only searches on 4-character or longer words. So ipod will get results, SRS won't. So if you want SRS info, you'd have to search on "airbag" instead. Oh yea, and spellling counts when searching.
Welcome to the board and enjoy your new car. |

I have a Garmin 370 and I think it is inferior to the Acura Nav in many ways, even though it's portable. Longer load times, trouble finding satellites, lack of voice activation are some major issues when driving. The touch screen, BT integration, ability to play media files and ebooks are advantages.
To the OP, most if not all of your questions have been answered on several prior threads. So the search function as mentioned will be useful.
You can edit your profile when you're logged in, but i'm n ot sure if you can change the username. |

Sorry that you have had so many problems with your 370. I have had no issues with my 350, it loads quickly and finds satellites within 15-20 seconds in most cases. |

You cannot retrofit a Nav system from a NAV MDX into a non-nav MDX -- the wiring harness is different.
I have yet to see an aftermarket nav system that even comes close to the Acura system. The voice command technology is outrageously good. Not even Lexus can hold a candle to it.
Plus, the integration of the nav and bluetooth is awesome! |

Check this IPOD radio transmitter/charger out... May be helpful in your situation. I put one in my 2004 MDX and it works well!
