Okay, so I'm trying to get off my front rotors. '03 with 73K miles. Caliper removed, retaining bolts removed with an impact driver but cannot budge the rotor. Have done the obligatory banging with a dead hammer.
Am I missing something?? Any help appreciated!
Thanks,
Jim A. |

Keep banging. I think I ended up using a 2 pound sledge to get mine off. Bang at different points on the rotor. Good luck. |

| Did you remove the small Phillips screw that may be there near the wheel studs? |

screwed in bolts to the rotors (as written in the manual in the first place!) and the rotors backed right off. Had a hell of a time with the retaining bolts though. Was getting ready to drill them out but decided to try again with the impact driver and I got em.
thanks for the replies.

Drill them out, thats the easiest way
I went through a set of impact bits on one side only to have to drill the last screw out anyways. Its much easier to drill them out.
Find a drill about the size of the panhead screw holding the rotors and start drilling till the tip of the screw comes off, then take a hammer and hammer out the rotor. You should be able to take a set of pliers and unscrew the broken screws off. |
