| The light on my radio and my side panel is not working. It's funny because it works every once in a while. The front gauge panel light is working fine. Has anyone else had such a problem? |

| When I turn on the headlights, the radio light goes out. I have a fog lamp out, so I'm going to replace that to see if it affects it, but then I'll have to keep looking into possibilities. |

Same problem - the radio backlight started going out intermittently and now rarely comes on. It's a weird issue, maybe a loose connection, broken solder point or something?
This sucks because it may not be fixable, but I'm going to pull the radio to install an iPod adapter this week so I will at least look into it. Did you guys find any resolution? |

I'm hoping it's just a loose light bulb. Mine seems to recently begun to not work sometimes.
They only thing I can think is it may, along with a couple of other bulbs (namely the Temperature display), have come loose when I took the radio out.
The radio light, along with the temperature light, driver's heated seat switch, fog light switch, and side mirror lights is really frustrating to see knowing it's Honda Japan, built shabbily in Canada. |

Well I had a chance to pull the radio and take a look at it this weekend, and I'm afraid I wasn't able to find much good news. I took the faceplate off, and there was nothing obvious wrong, although I did not take it fully apart. The idea of a loose bulb seems unlikely though, since there are about 8 individual bulbs in the faceplate, and at least on mine, none of them work at night.
Someone in another thread suggested replacing the faceplate, since the problem is likely located there... but I doubt I will, it looks like it would be an expensive part. Hopefully with my new iPhone integration I won't need the radio much any more. |

I've got an '04 Nav that has been having a similar problem. The radio and center console lights go out intermittently (including the radio buttons, climate control buttons, and navi buttons). The lights for the gauges and instruments have not been affected, nor have the screens for the navi, climate control or radio.
I have not been able to pinpoint what causes them to go out, or what causes them to go back on. One time when they were out, pushing the emergency flasher button brought them all back to life, but the next time that solution didn't work. The only thing that seems to cure the problem is bringing the car to the dealership, because the problem always seem to evaporate when I get within 10 miles!
Actually, the dealer kept my car for a couple of weeks and the service manager drove it every day, and finally he saw the problem. After much time and consultation with Acura tech mucky-mucks, they determined that the issue was some kind of problem with corrosion in a rear tail lamp housing. All was well for a couple of weeks, but eventually the problem returned.
The dealer gave me my car back saying they didn't know what to do next and were waiting for further input from Acura. That was months ago.
Anyone have any other ideas on this one? It is more than just an annoyance. I'm sure my wife or I will wrap this thing around a tree some night while trying to find a button on the radio or navi... |

I have one word for you, annoying. Hope the problem can be found. |

Hi All,
Just an fyi.. the occasional light going out and in finally went out totally. I took it to the dealer and since it was not working they were able to quickly identify the root cause of the matter. It turns out it was a part called the multiplex. The driver's side mulitplex was changed and now I have lights!!!
I'm keeping my fingers crossed. Hope this info may help someone else.. |

What did it cost for this? My fog light switch light is out, driver's side heated seat switch light, and driver's side door controls. l wonder if this will help me. |

| The work was covered under warranty. I've only had the vehicle for 1 yr. I saw the bill submitted to Acura was $174.00 before tax. |
