Well, i like to reply to some of the fellow mdx drivers who wanted to know anyone who has the PIAA extreme whites, well i purchase these light not so long ago and i had to admit they are really bright, it shines wider than the stock lights, i purchase both for my high beam and fog lights and i can't complain, it help me alot driving late in the night when no lights are around on the highway. I think everyone should get it, but too bad PIAA don't have the tint of blue like how the sale person who sold me these light said it will be the closes to a bmw lights i can get. What a liar bout the blue, but either than that i am really happy.

Oh, by the way if there is any Canadian MDX owners out there could you tell me when will the GPS will be available for purchase. Thanks

Bye

Thanks, detgboy and welcome to the Board.

Do you happen to know the Razos or know about it for a comparison?

I recently purchased a set of three pairs of "Xenon Plasma HID" replacement bulbs. They are fantastic. Bright white with a subtle tint of blue. I turned them on next to my wife's Lexus GS400... couldn't tell the difference! I am very pleased. If anyone is interested, I purchased them from www.PlatinumPrices.net . Aurthur was VERY helpful. You will need Two sets of size 9006 for the low beams and fogs, and one set of 9005 for the highs. Installation is simple; takes ten minutes. The total for the three pairs is $59.95 + $5.95 S+H. I highly recommend.
While they are not technically street legal (HID Xenon lights require levelling assemblies in most states) I can't imagine anyone would get stopped for them.

Hi FengMD,

Is the total for three pairs $95.80 including shipping or 59.95 + shipping? I got the $95 from their website.

Thanks for the info. Cheers :)

The price is actually $59.95 for the three pairs. It is a promotion... in effect, buy two get one free. You have two options:
1.call the number in the "contact us" section and speak to Aurthur, or
2. just follow the link to PayPal from their website. Send them $59.95 plus $5.95 S+H and include a note in the comments section that payment is for the purchase of two pair of 9006 and one pair of 9005. This is how I purchased them after speaking with Aurthur. It took one week for them to arrive.
They're awesome!

Thanks, FengMD. I called Arthur. He advised me to use PayPal and order the package exactly as you said and at the same price too.

Have a good weekend.

I guess when it's time to change bulbs again that I'll need to consider either the Xenon Plasma HID or PIAA Extreme Whites.

Be interesting to see if anyone's compared these on the same ride.

Sounds like you and Arthur are in business together.

We're not. I simply wanted to let my fellow MDX drivers know that there is a substantially more economical alternative to the PIAA Extreme Whites or the Razo's. Platinum Prices is out of California. I'm in North Carolina. I paid for my replacements just like others who I've referred have.
Isn't that what these forums are all about?

Should I order these while I wait for my 2002?? Or does anyone out there think the 2002 might have them in the Touring Package or as an option??
Thanks

Ah-ha. Right.

You must think that we're right off the boat to fall for your shill.

BTW, these bulbs are *not* HID lamps, and should not be advertised as such.

Hi Creme,

I do not know if those are truly HID replacement bulbs or not. But my collegue had them on a PT Cruiser and it looks bright and good enough for me. Platinum did offer the special on their web site as a kit for PT and the price is $59.90 but the ordering process on their site is quite confusing, therefore a call to them in which Arthur is answering and explaining the process for ordering to take advantage of the kit deal. Ordering separate will cost about an additional $29.90. Unfortunately, I do not have any other bright lights to compare against, but for the price (about twice the standard replacement bulb and with a better and brighter illumination) I think it is worth the try.

Cheers, :)

Whoa....lotsa controversy about Platinum....well, thought I'd give them a try I bought a complete set from them....6....low, high, and fog.

Ordering was a bit arcane...but pretty simple...similar to how business is done on eBay......don't know why they don't directly accept credit cards, though.

Installation was 10 minutes. They look good and appear brighter than the stock lamps. No, I do not have any forensic evidence, but they accomplish what I wanted them to.

Now let's see if they last.....if they don't, this forum will be the first to know!
