| Has anyone found a way to pull out the cup holders for cleaning? Is it just a hard pull or just impossible? |

| The "space formally known as an ashtray" can be removed but it's not easy. Don't know about cupholders. They seem to be rubberized with the same material. Car makers usually don't glue them down. |

If you mean the cup holders in the front, yes, they can be removed.
Make sure the cover for them is completely open, and pull *hard*. It's just held in with strong spring clips.
I can't remember exactly how I gripped the thing, but if you pull straight up, it will just pop out.
I picked up the service manual for the car and have taken them out as part of a project to add a CLA to the center console (the 110v is nice, but I have too many 12v adapters and don't want to invert just to convert back to 12v DC!). Pulling straight up is what they say in the book for the removal.. no other clever trick.
