I haven't had the chance to take a look at the spare tire and how accessible it is. Is it located under the rear carriage? I remember reading that the tire iron is located in the left panel inside the trunk and that you need to use a tool to turn the bolt off. Is this correct to say? I would check, but the car is parked at my inlaws because I need to sell my 92 mustang gt that's currently in my garage to make room for the MDX!

| if the 07 is like the previous models (or any other midsize SUV) then yes, the spare tire is under the rear of the car, and lowered using a bolt found in the sill of the rear hatch. The bolt has a cover over it that says something like SPARE or TIRE or something to that affect. You use the tire iron to lower and raise the spare. |
