Here are 2 links to the Pioneer TS-SW2541D:

Seems like it would go in without the need for that adaptor ring I've been reading about.
Anyone have thoughts on Pioneer stuff? How does it stack up to the likes of Alpine, JL, Infinity, etc?
Thanks...

Been reading reviews.
People say this works well in tight spaces, like under the seat of a truck. Wouldn't that mean that it would work well in our right rear quarter panel? That's a shallow tight space.

Probably depends on the tightness. I would assume this would be installed in a box under a seat. There is a big difference between a box and the sub enclosure of the MDX.

The shallow pioneer will fit on the stock subwoofer but it will not sound right. I bought a shallow 10 inch blaupunk and powered it with an MTX amp. It rattled like a motherbeep. I couldn't feel the bass while I was at the driver sit and just heard alot of rattle.IMO, it would be better if you just purchase a subwwofer enclosure and install a regular size woofer. Now, I just have the 10 inch shallow woofer laying around. I will sell it for $20 bucks and you pay for shipping. If you're interested.

Thanks for the offer but you torpedoed your own sale with your review. Thanks for your honesty.
Think I'm gonna go by CC and see what they say my options are.
