Hi,

I'm new to the forum. I have a 2007 MDX with entertainment and sports package and the power package for the tailgate. Love the car. I just want to share I did some modification on the NAV unit. What I did was take the factory video signal from the factory DVD player, transfer to the front NAV screen.

Enjoy! I am just showing pictures, I am not recommending that everyone do this because there is no plug and play harness involved (not a plug and play system), plus there is also a NAV to TV converter that you must buy (approx. $190). I purchased it through Autotoys.com.

Here are 3 pictures that I took.

I would like to know how did you do that, I was thinking of that. That's will be nice because sometimes I need to wait for my kid in the parking lot for them to get off from school. Can you toggle between Navigation and TV/DVD mode?:D

ans; yes u need a nav to tv converter plus a dvd player with a build in tuner (from my experience tv tuner only works good when the car is stationary with a good signal, then it works well. When the car is in motion, the reception is bad). Save some money, don't put the tuner in (you'll need to buy a tv tuner antenna).

This weekend I am writing DIY, but I am not liable for any unit that gets burnt. DO IT AT YOUR OWN RISK.
