Ok, so wife and I recently got our [leased] MDX. It's metallic silver, which only comes in black interior or taupe. Why does the interior look like parchment?
Also, I read in other posts that some of the interior console alignment is either off, misaligned, and or gapped from the door to the console. Since this is a lease, would you recommend that I go have it checked out, or leave it.
It doesn't bother me, and it's slightly gapped more on the driver side than passenger. I probably would of never noticed it.
Last question: I currently have the 3rd row seat down flat. Do the seatbelt ends just hang like that on both sides from the retractor or is there a place where I can connect the latches?

Acura has a weird concept of taupe.
If you're not bothered by the gap, then don't worry about it. But if it becomes an issue at lease end time, then have it fixed before then.
Unfortunately, the seatbelt ends do hang like that. |

Thanks! Wife thought I was going insane when I kept running back and forth from the garage to the computer upstairs because I swear "Taupe" on Acura's webite looks more like gray than anything else.:D |

My mind's playing tricks on me! Being that the car is parked at my inlaws house for the time being [just sold my 92 Mustang GT], I went there after work to check the color.
I guess the lighting in the garage makes the "Taupe" look more like "Parchment."
In any other case, while I was there, I connected my phone along with the wifes to the HandsFree Link. That system is awesome. I was amazed on hour accurate it was when calling out numbers to dial. This is my first brand new car...it's amazing on how far technology has gone. I'm VERY impressed with the MDX. Can't wait to really get this baby out on the road! |
