This is the first car I have owned with VSA. When should I use it? Should I always leave it on/off? Just looking for any advise.
Thanks! |

| From what I've read. It states to leave it on all the time, unless you need to "shoot out" of a jam like in mud or something. Otherwise, everytime you turn it off, it automagically turns itself back on the next time you start your engine. |

I read the manual, but just wanted your opinions. It doesn't state any details that I may not be aware of that you guys might know. |

VSA is like Super Traction Control, that cooperates with Super Handling All Wheel Drive. VSA works by brakng one or two wheels if it senses you're turning too much (oversteer) or too little (understeer) for the amount of steering you're using. It has little features like Trailer Assist programmed in, too. If it senses increasing fishtailing it will take off power and apply brakes.
SH AWD channels more torque to the outside rear wheel when it senses you're boogying around a turn. (It does that by engaging electric clutches in teh rear differential, which engage a set of planetary gears).
Bottom line- if you think you're fasater and better than the computer, turn it off. It works so fast, you better be good.
I didn't even know you could turn off VSA in the 07, Where is the button? |

| Thanks for the info! The button is right behind the steering wheel I think. Good info though. No need to turn that baby off! |

I would suggest not to turn it off at all time unless you're in a controlled environment.
Too many of my follow G35er turn their off thinking they are better then computer. The out come from that is when they get carry away they crash. There is nothing there to help them out of the jam. 50% of them blame their Car and 50% of them blame themselves for turning it off. |
