| Is there a way to convert my factory raido (07 MDX) from XM to Sirius. Thanx Joekids |

I would say no. Your radio probably has an input for an xm tuner or worse, it may have a built in xm tuner in which I know you couldn't add sirius.
Your only hope is if there is an input for a sirius tuner, which I also doubt. If not, you would have to purchase an aftermarket tuner at a store. |

I am pretty sure you need to go with the aftermarket, that is what I have had to do.
The XM is really integrated with the NAV, so I am guessing it isn't as easy as the GM vehicles. On GM vehicles, Sirius sells a brain that replaces the XM brain, all controls work through the regular XM controls.
XM blows, it is kind of sad... |

| gmc74, what do you think of the pending merger if it goes through? |

After the merger, you will be able to get sirius programming on your XM receiver:

Good point! I totally forgot about that. I think though you will restricted in channel choice. |

Sirius is not any better.
BTW- on the MDX you dont want to lose XM because it provides the RT Traffic to your GPS. |

It is funny, and subjective of course, but I find sirius to be much better.
I like the naming convention of the channels better (i.e. names that lend a clue as to what the channel plays, like AltNation or HairNation, rather than Fred and Lucy), but overall I think they have a better mix, and I seem to find music I like on there, which doesn't happen on XM.
I hope the merger goes through and I can get Stern and the other Sirius channels on XM |

It isn't defined yet, but according to the press release, full ala carte programming selection will not be available until the next generation radios are available. With exisiting XM/Sirius equipment you can get what they are calling "Best of Both Packages on Existing equipment". With XM equipment you get the full XM content plus "Select Sirius channels" and with Sirius equipment you get the full Sirius content plus "Select XM channels". They don't define which channels are the "best of" but it would makes sense if they truly were the most popular channels in order to prevent customers from having to switch out existing equipment. If they give a customer an opportunity to think about switching out equipment, they also give them an opportunity to consider other options (Ipod/HD/etc).

As long as the select Sirius portion contains Stern's channels, NFL, and a few music channels, I will be happy! |

| I'm waiting for the merger, but in the mean time I got a Sirius Stiletto with a car kit and plugged it into the AUX input. |
