I've had the car for a week today and noticed driving this week that i hear a whistling noise from the passenger front windshield area. Anyone know what may be causing this?

I have the same issue. There's wind noise coming from the side windows / moon roof at speeds between 40 - 65 mph. Then the whistling noise kicks in at 70+ mph. I took the MDX to the dealership 3 days ago, and I just got my car back today. They said they replaced the windshield rubber, but as I drove it back home, the problem didn't go away!

What years are your cars? If 2nd gens, try doing a search on whistling and see if anything shows. I know there is a thread or two on it somewhere.

It's a brand new 07 MDX w/ Tech. The MDX does not have roof rack. The service rep said the rubber door seals were replaced, and that they test drove it and compared the wind noise with the other new 07 MDX already.

I drove it again today and still notice the wind noise, although whistling is gone. Not sure if it's normal. I am wondering if it's because I covered the moonroof today? Maybe the whisling came from the moonroof.

My 07 MDX has been in Acura Service for 4 days now. In very simple terms, they say the problem is a little door behind the Evaporator that doesn't close. I'm supposed to pick up the car today so I'll let everyone know if the whistling stops.

Please post the solution and what was involved in the fix. I know I have the same problem and it involves the A/C Fresh and A/C Recirculate Modes. The A/C "recirulate interior mode" does not fully close some type of door, intake,or hatch. It causes the whistle. Took 200 miles on the highway and a roll of electrical tape to figure out.

There might be a need to change the rubber seals on your door..

I don't think it's the rubber seal because I have the same issue and the dealership already replaced the rubber seals for me. I took the MDX back the 2nd time today and they said that they'll have to compare my MDX with 3 other MDX's to make sure my problem is "normal". If all 4 MDX's sound alike, then I don't think Acura would fix the whistling noise....=(

The problem is fixed in my 07 MDX. The "evaporator rear hearter box door" wasn't closing properly causing the whistle. They figured it out by pressurizing the cabin by filing it with smoke, similiar to what it used in nightclubs and pressuring it out to find out what the problem was. Acura Service replaced the part. If your technician needs additional information have him call Chris at Miami Acura Service Department at 305/232-1400.
