I'm out of town, w/o driver's manual, how to check for computer code for the check engine light.
My old Legend's ecu was under the passenger's seat. I would blink a series of lights. That tells the specfic problem.
How to check for the problem. Thank You. |

| If you just got gas check that the gas cap was put back properly. The code will clear in a few restarts if thats the problem. Joekids |

| Thanks, going to Autozone first thing tomorrow morning for free diagnostic. Hope it's something simple. I did just get an aftermarket chrome gas cap, couldn't help myself, looks cool. Anyways will follow up with the results after going to dealer if need be. |

The chrome gas cap is likely the culprit. It's either not screwed on tightly enough or is not a good fit. |

Yeah, it looks that way. I have returned to the stock gas cap, am going tomorrow to Hondaar House in Somerville, MA. There going to reset the check engine light for free. Metro Acura wanted $90.
I want to use the chrome gas cap but don't want to bother having to get the check engine light reset next time, bummer. |
