I am not sure if there are any computer geeks out there like me, but I have a number of networks that I run for different things at home, so I am always in the market for cheap switches.
Yesterday I picked up a cheap Netgear 5-port 10/100 (FS605) for $20.96 with a rebate of $20.... so it nets $.96. It is far from the best switch on the market, but for less than $1, it is the best for the price.
Online it is $29.99, but in store it was $20.96
Rebate has to be post marked by 8/18
Enjoy! |

Enjoy,
The rebate receipt didn't print when I was there, so they filed it electronically, all I have to do is send the sheet they gave me with the proof of purchase and receipt. (this has happened before there).
I think I am going to send my dad to get one this afternoon :) I can never have enough of these, at this price. |

| You may want to buy a dozen and then sell them on Ebay! |

| No kidding, I don't think I can find a dozen addresses to have the rebate checks sent to :) |

I ordered one of these a year ago online and it was over $40  at the time. It currently sits in my basement between the router on the second floor and the HTPC, PS2 and Xbox w/XBMC.
Great find and Netgear is a solid brand. |

It is working like a champ, and the rebate is on its way...
I have to bring equipment on the road with me, and a nice small switch like this is easy to pack. |

Don't know if I am qualified as a computer geek yet. Being using Mac & PC side by side since 1986. Built my first PC in 1988 (the very first 66MHz intel CPU in the market). Modified my first MAC in 1989 (33 MHz Apple II SE). Having said that, currently running OS10 on MacMini & IMac 24" & XP/Vista on 4 dells desktop & a sony TX850 labtop. Talk about a computer in each room. LOL

I seem to collect computers... I have a stack of four of them (not in use) just inside the door to my office, not to mention the 6 that are running in my house :D |
