Any Baltimore, Maryland X owners here? If so, what dealership did you purchase your vehicle from? How was customer service?

I live in NE Baltimore county and shopped around for the best price. I solicited Frankel in Cockeysville and Norris in Ellicott City weren't willing to deal, Criswell in Annapolis and Tisher in Laurel I never heard from them. I finally negotiated my price, which I think was great, from Rosenthal Acura Gaithersburg. What a pleasure doing business with them. I'll be happy to provide you with my salesman's name and email address if you PM me.

Same thing here. Went to Norris and got a price. Down to Chevy Chase Acura and they were happy to beat it, though barely. Headed up the road to Rosenthal and they killed Chevy Chase's price. They were thrilled to be able to do it. Rosenthal's volume easily allows them to do it.

Thank you all for your comments. I was just curious how your experiences compared to mine. I originally went to Frankel Acura in Cockeysville, and I must say, this is the worst dealership I have ever dealt with. Ignorant personal, all walking around like their sh*t don’t stink. After they finally noticed I was looking at one of their X’s for a half-hour, they reluctantly came out to greet me. I finally found the X I wanted, test drove it, was great, but it had paint missing from the driver’s door. I told the salesman to find me an x without paint missing, then call me and let me know. I conveyed to him my expectations, and he assured me he would find an X is good condition. Day later, man calls, went back, different X was sitting in the bay with a scratch from the front to the rear up along the drivers side of the car. Scratch was deep, and was not going to be buffed out. It would have had to be repainted. The hood also had paint imperfections. He assured me that the problems would be fixed after a visit to the detailer’s bay. I assured him that I didn’t want it, and left.

Next day, paid a visit to Tischer Acura in Laurel. Outstanding customer service, a wide variety of X’s in stock. Found the one I wanted, negotiated a price (40k for tech), which was several thousand less than Frankel was willing to go (they were not going to budge), and drove the car home the same day. It surprises me how some dealerships operate. I made sure the man at Frankel knew of my expectations when purchasing a new vehicle, but the guy was too much of a moron to check the vehicle before calling me the second time. What a waste of time. I do not recommend Frankel. Their rating is …. Over-rated.

I will not purchase a new car from Frankel. However, I do take my car there for service since it is the closest and it has been quite pleasurable. I'm greated by my service advisor by name the moment I walk into the door and receive my loaner in a timely manner. Their service department is night and day when compared to the sales people.
