Hi All,
I've been lurking here for a while now checking out the info on the MDX. Some great info.
I'm strongly thinking about picking one up ASAP, if things work out. Looks like some of you are getting excellent deals in the US, but alas I live in Canada where price gouging is the norm! Talked to a couple dealers who said that they weren't willing to give much of a discount off the list price. Markup in Canada is about $4500 on the tech package, which I want. Honda has a 4.9% finance rate now, which helps a little with the purchase, but still doesn't with the price.
Dealers in Alberta have only one black on black tech available until 08 so they don't seen to want to bargin. Any advise on what I should do. Any suggestions for getting a better price. We are trading an 04 TSX so that throws another complication into the deal. Any tips on getting a good deal on the trade. Had a cabbie back into the side of the TSX a couple years ago and had doors replaced so I'm sure the dealer will want to deduct a lots of bucks on the trade because of that. Darn cabbies in their cheapo cars!
I plan on adding the 19" wheels, sport running boards and front and rear garnish. Any idea on the percent markup on there. Carcostcanada does not supply the dealer price for accessories. I'm thinking 20% markup for these.
Any Canadian buyers of tech with suggestion on what price might be now? I working 14 hours away from the nearest dealer so if I wait for an 08, I have to do the deal by phone, so I'm thinking that I should take what I can get while I can in the next week while I'm near the dealers.
More questions: with the MP3 DVD, can you see the name of both folders and songs within them? Is the cooler bag a good idea, or is it mostly pointless? Anyone install a Floorliner by weathertech? I'm thinking about getting one for the winter. Do the tires come with the listed price of the 19" wheels, or are they extra? Any suggestions for a cell phone that integrates well with the bluetooth? My current phone does not have bluetooth so I plan on picking up a new one, but want to make sure I get one that works well with the MDX.
Think I'm out of questions for now. Thanks in advance for any info you folks can provide. Hope to be an MDX owner in the near future.

Can't help you with the price. In fact there is a thread here about Canadians paying too much. In that vein, try searching for topics that interest you since someone else might have posted on it, RE: coolers, MP3, etc. I hate to tell a newbie that, but searching does help.
If you're OK with mechanical stuff, you can install some of the acecssories yourself, like the running boards and garnish.
As far as BT compatibility, you can look it up under Acura's HFL website. The Sony Ericsson seems to work best.

I don't know what the market is up in Canada, but I have to imagine when the new ones come out, or are officially announced, they will have to come down a bit
