Hi, just ordered some running boards like the ones shown below:
I have a Ridgid 18v drill and a complete socket wrench set. Will that be enough to install these boards? |

| Don't forget some beer for your buddy that will help you hold it up. Makes things more fun too.:7: |

Really, so a socket wrench set and loc-tite is all I need? That's awesome! I'll get my neighbor to hold up the boards when the time comes.
Thanks again everyone! I'll post the pics when I'm all done. |

Do you have these instructions already?
Oh hells yes! Read the instructions before I bought. Thanks for the reminder though.
I just read some posts about some members wishing they had the dealer install them. I don't mind any work, just want to make sure I've got the right tools. :) |

| I don't know if it's the same as installing the side-steps. I didn't even need any help holding it up, just a couple of bolts will do the job and a lot of elbow grease that's all you need.;) |

Hey, then I could keep all the beer for myself! So you just used a socket wrench? |

| With a short extension and a crescent wrench to hold the nuts when tightening the bolts, that's all. Maybe it's advisable to put some loc-tite like crmsnidol said, I didn't use it on mine. |

| Thanks for all the advise. I think I will buy some loc-tite while I'm at it. |

| I installed mine by myself on a nice Saturday and they are still holding on strong after about one year now. Just a socket wrench with extension is all I used. |

Got my running boards at my home the other day. Started installing them yesterday. Only had time to put in the right side before dinner. I'll put in the left side today, then do a test drive tomorrow. I used loc-tite on the right side and it was pretty simple. So far, looking very nice!
Thanks everyone! |

Cool, I assumed that you had to drill, if the holes are already there, I may be ordering me a set of these :)
Thanks for the post. |

No drilling needed! Easy install in my opinion. Finished the work yesterday. First day, I installed the right side, took an hour and a half. Yesterday, only took an hour. I also used loc-tite on all bolts.
Also, didn't need to have another person with me. The box that housed the boards had styrofoam inside which I used to prop up the boards.
Gotta say that the boards look great and feel very sturdy. All I used was a socket wrench set with the 13 mm socket and an extension when needed. This is easily a DIY project. |

| Is it just me or do you guys find that the end of the board isn't flushed or aligned to the end? |

Just had a question for the required 90 degree driver.
Can a snake attachment (don't know what it's called) be used to substitute the 90 degree driver? |
