P/U Nimbus Gray / Ebony Base model X from Acura of Concord late July. Dealership was great and they even messed up the Due bill and gave me the Body side molding + Wheel locks, All weather floor mats and cargo tray for free. :D Got sport running boards & garnishes installed. Dealership experience was great, but after driving it for a few days I notice the stupid whistling sound coming from the air vent going 80+, same problem as some of the other X owners. Took it into dealership and they told me there isn't a TSB on it yet. If enough people complain I'm sure there will be one soon. Is not a big deal, but is still annoying.
Been surfering this forum for a month, but just got around to registering. |

| $300 over invoice. I compare 3 dealerships and Concord gave me the best deal. I might have gotten lower, but I had to trade-in my 2003 Honda Accord V6 Coupe. Got $13,800.00 for it so I was pretty happy. Also the 2.9 % financing was available so that worked out great. Only financed $12,000.00 of it so the total finance charge for 36 months is only $500 something dollars. What a steal!!! |

Welcome....I would expect that horrendous dealership to do you right as every time I went there is was "less than" both service and sales (high prices)......I refuse to do business with them and don't recommend them....good luck with them and again welcome!
As we say in our business: Once a bad apple.....always a bad apple......:1: :1: :1: |

Actually I took the car into Pleasanton Acura who told me there wasn't a TSB yet on the whistling sound. I live in Dublin and was too lazy to drive all the way to Concord. Everything went great at Concord, and because they messed up and gave me their Protection Package worth about 1,200.00 for free. I actually got the car around 900.00 under invoice. :2: |

| I go to Acura of Pleasanton. I live in Antioch! Concord is a hop, skip and a jump but they are Lousy, especially the service department. How about them scratching my brand new Navi screen? Forgot to change the oil with MY oil that was on the floor board of the car and told the service rep repeatedly! The list goes on and on......until I FIRED them and refuse to refer them business! Fare warning! Even the Honda dealership next door warned me about them....go figure.....Was the sales manager a short stocky balding arrogant fellow? He has been there for years......that's the problem, OLD BOY NETWORK! The service mgr came screaming at a service rep in front of all the customers in the waiting room! That's professional isn't it?.....That was the icing on the cake for me.........So they lost out on the sale of "3" new Acura's I've purchased in the past 3 years.....That's a BIG loss to me.........:4: :4: |

| Same boat. This is why I change my own oil. Not just lost of interest in the word "trust worthy", but rather disgust by the workmanship/service that they provide. |

| Actually the sales manager I dealt with was a tall guy with a full set of hair. I bought my wifes TL at Pleasanton and didn't have a good experience there. I gave them my best offer and the sales manager laugh and wave me away. The sales person call back a day later asking me if my deal was still good and beg me to come back. I went back and got the TL from them, but it still left a bad taste in my mouth. To each his own brother!!! Like I said Concord gave me t he best deal and that's who I went with. I'll probably do all my services at Pleasanton because they are like 5 mins away from my house. |

I'm new here too and after months of browsing around I finally decided to join the party :1:
Didn't feel like creating a new topic so I thought I'd invade well168's. Hope that's ok :) Congrats on your new X btw!
I got mine about 3 weeks ago. It's an '07 Sport Black & Parchment and I added the Sport Running boards, front and back lower garnish and the auto mirror, of course. Got it for just under $49k, everything included.
1,000 miles so far and loving it!!! It's a great addition to my wife's '06 white TL in our garage.
Here's a quick pic. I'll come back with a few better ones in a couple of days.

I just purchased a 2007 MDX with technology and entertainment. Dark Pearl Cherry with Parchment. I pick it up Thursday evening. Trying to decide what accessories to add to it. I want to put a trailer hitch on it, yet after reading this forum, I may want to do this myself. If anyone had a factory installed trailer hitch on a 2007 or 2008, would you please E-Mail me some pics of it?
Thanks,
Randy B |
