the rear suspension seems to make frequent clunking noise whenever i turn into my driveway or going over speed bumps at very slow speed. At faster speed it is not noticeable. Passenger in the back tend to notice the noise too. Is this normal? Anybody else have the same issue?

It is not normal.. You probably need to repair your rear suspension..

I have a new 07 as well as I hear like somewhat of a clunking too. At first I thought something was in my trunk compartment clunking around but that's not it. Did you get the rear suspension fixed and did it fix the noise problem?

no I haven't gotten it fixed yet. I'll wait til it's time for my regular maintenance and get it looked at. I'll let you know.

is this in an 07 or 1st gen? If 1st gen, do a search on bushings. I think you'll find that answers your questions.

Yes. I just did.
Yes. It corrects the noise problem, and a lot more.
I heard the clank on certain pothole-like jarring. After it was fixed, I found that the vehicle got eerily quiet- there had been a low level of clanking at all times that I had attributed to stiff suspension. It went away with the TSB fix.
I usually save up a few issues for service on vehicles. A malfunctioning TPMS on a rear wheel got me into the dealer, because the warning icons were beginning to piss me off while driving at night. |

Shootist - thanks for the reply. Having the same problem, especially pronounced when going over bumps/dips when wheel is turned.
