Is there a setting in the MID that adjust how soon the headlights come on when it goes dark? Everytime I pull into my garage the headlights fire up. I'd prefer that it didn't, that's hard on the lamps.
There should be a delay of say 30-60 seconds or even minutes of a certain light level before the headlights kick in. |

| Yes, there is. You'll have to keep your car park in order to access the setting. Its the Sensitivity setting or you can turn the auto headlight off completely just like the good old days. |

| Is that setting only on the tech package? I have the same problem. It may be related but my headlights also flip on whenever I open my driver door. Since my car may sit for several days this ends up running the battery down. I have ended up taking it out of Auto mode to prevent this but then what is the point of having an auto mode if you can't leave it on? |

No, there isn't. The sensitivity setting you reference above only adjusts how much light is required before the lights come on. There is no way to impose any sort of delay like uopercival is seeking. |

yeah, i went in and changed the setting to minimum, yet it still fires up the lights as soon as I pull into the garage. How annoying.
I can't believe that I'm saying this, but there's some options on the MDX (almost all are in software) that are easily outdone by it's American competitors. I'm talking about the crappy Explorer I got rid of for the X.
Sometimes it's a love-hate relationship isn't it. For a luxury XUV vs. a Ford Explorer? C'mon Acura...
My exploder had
- exterior keypad unlocking
- properly working auto lights (never moved it from the auto setting the whole 3 years I owned the thing)
- selectable metric/imperial temp/mpg readings
- power pedals
- lock button at the rear hatch so you don't have to pull out your keyfob when your hands are full from unloading |

| I am hoping that this kind of stuff is all first model year things. It is the price we pay for having the latest and greatest. At least that's what I tell myself. Nothing beats actual user testing for finding the nitty gritty stuff. I guess we will find out when the 08 comes out. |
