I seem to replace the windshield 3 times a year at the very least out here... I heard a rock hit it while I was driving home from Tucson yesterday, but I didn't notice anything. It is the size of a quarter... |

GMC - Don't feel so bad - I got a stone chip about the size of a BB hole on the 5th day of ownership. Took it to SafeLite and they did the repair. It was way on the left side near the A-pillar so it doesn't look too bad now. Farmers insurance does the repairs for free if a repair will work. If it drives me nuts seeing the little scratch that's left I can pop for the $100 replacement windshield.

| My 2003 got hit about 4 weeks after purchase and then my 2002 Tbird got a cracked windshield a week later. A quick grand on windshields. |

One of the main perils of living in the desert (besides the damn heat). I've lived in Arizona for 6 years, now on my third MDX, had a TSX, TL -- windshields replaced in every one except our '06 RL (so far). At least we don't have many huge (east coast) pot holes to worry about.

| No kidding, we are replacing them every few months... but my insurance has never gone up, so it isn't so bad |

| i had the same thing happen. quarter sized nugget on the passenger side after only owning for about six weeks. it's not a repair either, i have to replace. not willing to shell out the 1500 bucks, considering my insurance won't replace it. bummer. |

Well, I'll be damn.
My windshield cracked at 6 week as well. I hope this is not a trend or how weak these windshield are. This is the first windshield I have to replace from all the other cars I ever owned. |

Here in AZ you typically have to replace the windshields once or twice a year from rocks, or sand pitting. The windsheilds get sand pits in them from the dust and the extreme temperatures, it looks like someone misted the window with sap...
Not a big deal, I haven't had it fixed/replaced yet, it isn't in my line of sight, and I have two trips to Cali in the next month, where it is likely I may get another, so I will wait until I return. |
