| Would you folks rather buy a vehicle the first year of a vehicle’s redesign/debut, or are you one of those buyers who would generally like to wait for the second year? Personally, I like to have the first year, even if it does have a few kinks. This way, the generation’s body style will be around for a while and not get old, and I like to have the new cars—I just like to be the first to try them out I guess. I have my 07 X, and I will probably be one of the first to have the next generation’s design in 2013 or 2014 too. |

| LATE BUILD first year models can be satisfactory but I generally try to stay away from first year models. Factories are learning how to build the vehicle and the designers may not have forseen all the design problems which always seem to sneak up in first year models. Second year GENERALLY includes minor changes and upgrades planned in the original design, and engineering modifications to correct defects. Of course, some defects might not be cleared up for even 2 years.... JMHO |

My sentiments exactly ... though I made an exception in case of the 2007 MDX. |
