I have read that the 07 MDX is 78.5". Is this including the mirrors, or just the body? If it is including the mirrors, how much do they add to the width.
I am measuring my garage with the other vehicle in there. I thought getting my 4X4 truck out of there would give me more width room. Turns out my full size truck is almost 4" narrower. |

FYI, here's a post from shootist that appears in one of several threads regarding the overall width of the MDX:
The service manual specifies 77 inches as the "Overall Width". An accompanying diagram shows this to be 77 inches to the edge of the body, not includng the mirrors. This is also the max width when the mirrors are folded in.
A quick trip out to the garage in my bare feet shows that the total width, including mirrors in normal position, is about 88.5 inches. This number is hard to pin down with one person, due to the rounded shape of the outside of the mirrors.
It should be noted that Acura put the plastic turn signal lense at the outward most position; you won't nick paint.
I wonder if a tripled over towel on both sides of the garage door opening would save the mirrors by folding them in automatically? |

Thanks for the reply
I can see now that I should have searched with the keyword of width. Lesson learned |
