I'm looking in the Denver area for an MDX. It seems from working with 3 dealers that there are very few Sport/Entertainment packages out there. I'm having a tough time getting them under 1500-2000 over invoice.

Is anyone else seeing this shortage out there?
Anyone in the Front Range buy recently - where did your final price end up?
Is the Sport worth it (I've read the posts and they generally indicate yes)? Because it seems there are more Tech/Ent packages available.

Thanks in advance.

alot of MDX buyers buy it because of its luxury and what it offers, not because they want to be sporty. The sport model sells mostly to people who want a sporty feel and a comfy feel at the same time.

WHAT?? You ought to be paying invoice or $300 less. I can't believe you are talking about 1500-2000 over invoice. I just bought a sport/ent for $300 under invoice. You need to drive outside of the area you live in.
I bought the sport, because the wife liked the wheels better. I didn't care, thought the suspension might have a little bit of an advantage, which it definitely does. So what the hell another $2000 to keep the bases covered.
I would wait for the '08s if you cant get better than that.

The sales manager at the Acura dealer told me only 5-8% of the MDX builds where sport/ent. Not sure if that is correct. I know when I bought mine in February that some dealers would not negotiate but after a few visits and shopping around I got the sport/ent for $45,300 plus TTT which was fine with me.

I think buying a '07 in February versus the end of the year, is a little different story. For one thing there wasn't a $1400 holdback on them. $45,300 was a decent deal in February.
If you bought it for $45,300 today, that would mean the dealer sold it to you for $46,700, and that doesn't make sense.
