you might end up like me. Brought some grass clippings to the dump but didn't realize how much liquid had accummulated in the garbage bags. Damn liquid spilled out over the cargo rubber tray, tracking under my the carpet in the cargo area all the way to the second row passenger seats. The stench would just not go away, so I removed the third row seats and one second row seat to discover that it was wet under the carpet. There was just no way to get the smell out despite shampoo, deoderants etc...
so, here's my wife's car, dismantled (had to cut out the affected carpet) but smelling much better. New carpet on order but unfortunately across the USA there is no ETA on arrival. Might be months. At least it doesn't smell anymore....downright nauseating!
actually i've since removed the right rear side liner in the cargo area because it was saturated as well...not making this mistake again |

| Love the cargo tray. Saved our carpet at least once when a little gas spilled out of garden tiller. Just wiped it up and aired it out. Sorry for your mis-fortune. I am sure the new carpet will bring relief - hopefully soon.. |

Ouch!
I just had to carry 7 bags of soaking wet mulch and a bunch of other construction materials over the weekend too. I had the cargo liner in place, put some plastic foil over it as well, drove carefully and got away clean in the end. You can never be too careful. |
