I just got finished detailing my MDX. After owning it for a while I'm even more impressed with Acura's design, manufacturing process, and material selection. Especially considering it's a first year model. Sure it's not the most luxurious SUV out there but dang, it sure is holding up well. Just thought I'd add a positive post for a change.

Yep, ours is eleven months old now, and we had the pleasure of using it this weekend to go over to Grandma's house, over two mountain passes. Effortless passing going from 65-90, zipping by slow RV's (one of the passes has only two lanes; one in each direction, and lots of curves, so quick, confident passing is essential).

Cargo compartment packed to the gills (but safetly) with our stuff and baby stuff, another distinct pleasure.

What kind of mileage do you have for six months? I will turn three months on Wednesday (September 5th) and currently have 5,400. So far, all is well and no problems at all.

You're going to laugh but 2,500K. But since I drive in NY/NJ I'd say it's the equivalent of 5K because of the condition of the roads. Heck, there's potholes here that are two feet wide and six inches deep.

2,500 miles at six months old is excellent. I wish I could say the same. At this rate, you will have a five year old MDX with only 25k on it. Great for a trade-in or re-sale. By the way, if you do encounter one of those montstrous pot holes, hopefully, for VTM-4 will pull you right out !!!

Mine is 7 mo with 4k of long trips mostly. My car is in excellant shape with no dings or scratches because I am real anal on where I park it. My family is getting used to it but roll their eyes every time we take it anywhere and I make them hike.

Anyway my milage sort of sucks. I got 21 mpg in the first 500 miles and have been having a hard time getting that anymore since then. True the outside temp has gone from 75 to 95+ but on the same stretches of roads and same driving I am getting 19 where I used to get 21. Never see the 24 mpg. This is at 70 to 75 mph, without wind.
