I purchased a 2007 Tech package. I was told by the dealer that this car will allow you to play video on the NAVI screen using the 6 disc changer player that came with the car. Since it's able to read DVD-audio....
Yes, there's aftermarket module that needs to be installed.
Wonder if this true. If so, can anyone recommend a solution? |

I would say he is full of sh!t... you could install something that would cut into the video feed, and potentially play videos from another source, but I don't think you are ever going to play a video from the radio, no matter what you install.
I could be wrong, this is just a hunch. |

AFAIK, there is a NAV converter for the 07 already that will allow you to see what's on the RES. I have one on my 01. But I doubt if the six-disc player will do it, more likely the DVD player will have an RGB hookup.
What I found curious is that on the Sport model, the manual mentions that you can control the RES and view it by pressing Front Source (I forget which button exactly). When I tried it, it just beeped but nothing happened. I'll have to look into this. It may have been a design feature that got disabled later on. |

I had doubt in it as well, but he said that the radio is made to read DVD, so it will work for Video feed. |
