i'm currently looking into buying 07 MDX with technology pkg.

called several dealers up and best quote i got so far is $42500 out the door.

is this a good deal?
i hear 08 model will be at dealerships later this month.
if i wait for another month, will i get better deal?

It's very good deal.
The invoice for MDX tech package is $40,103 (I got this price from several dealers in S. California, the OTD price should be ~10% more (taxes and fees). It will be around $44K. With this quote, you got a least $1000 below invoice.

This is a good deal. As quyenph noted, it is around $1000 below invoice assuming an 8.25% sales tax rate. The dealer is giving up most of his holdback. You probably won't get a better deal unless Acura offers incentives. Incentives will only be offered if there are still a lot of 2007's on the lots. However, as incentives are offered, inventory and selection drop quickly, with the most desirable trim levels going first.

However, there is at least one post where a member (epiney) has gotten a quote for a 2008 near invoice. It may be worth getting quotes on a 2008 to see if you are in an area that will discount 2008's.

I recently received a quote for 1000 over invoice for an 08 MDX Sport/Tech.

Dealer said the invoice for an 08 MDX Sport/Tech is $44,823. Therefore, $45,823 was the price offered. This was before Tax/Title/License and dealer installed accessories.

if you are in southern california, DO NOT go to Acura of Glendale!
they quoted me $42,500 OTD and now, when i'm ready to buy, their paperwork says $44,257 OTD.

their sales strategy is simple. offer u low price as bait.... and when u actually decide to purchase, they raise the price one way or the other...

Just say goodbye to them. If you live in So. California, go to Weir Canyon Acura in Anaheim, I purchased my MDX there. They are very professional, I got my 2007 MDX base for $600 below invoice back in August 23. I think you can even get a better deal now because 2008 models are available. Good luck

I know it doesn't make sence, but they both can be internet sales managers. There are more than one internet sales manager in every dealership. In some large dealers, there are about 5 or 6 internet sales managers.

Then every regular sales person can just say they're the internet sales manager. Nothing special about that title if you can have 5 or 6 internet sales managers. Maybe they should just call themselves internet salesman since it cheapens the title when there is 5 or 6.

Good luck MJ on making a deal on your X. Just get quotes and have them email it to you and print it out when you go over there. If they don't honor the price that they quoted, tell them you're going to the better business bureau or to one ot those local TV shows like 7 on your side.

It is one of those titles that they give out to make the sales person sound more important. They do the same thing at the Acura dealers around Phoenix.

They don't manage people, they manage the internet sales... kind of a weak way to instill a false sense of confidence in their customers, if you ask me.

I used to work at a Toyota Dealership in Houston, TX when I was younger and it use to mean something when they make you a manager. The fleet manager was a big shot in the dealership at that time, I guess now with the internet, titles don't mean anything. Oh well, my "Interent Sales Manager" was knowledgeable and took great care of me so I'm not mad.

Well, as to my own experience with the Internet Sales Manager, he still had to go to the director for the final approval of the sale price. So the way I see it, he's not the one who calls the shot, but at least, it's much faster and more simple than to start with the sale people and go thru all of the hassle and frustration and waste of time.:)

ended up buying thru independent dealer but picked up the car from Acura of Glendale.... :2:
