Way Cool! This was in So. Bend, that's quite a feat. I visited there two seasons ago and that place IS College Football - my team lost but put up a good performance.
Anyway, I attended my Alma Mater's opener againt Arizona last Saturday, good game, but way too hot for football IMO.
This week it's off to the Rose Bowl to see them against the bruins. Gotta have hope . . . :4: :29:

Both ND and Michigan lost, going to be an interesting season for sure.
We lost a heartbreaker to a very good UCLA team yesterday. They find a way to get the job done, and that's all that matters on the scoreboard.

The UW Huskies are 2-0!!! The Buckeyes are coming to town tomorrow which will be a true test to see how good we really are. GO DAWGS!!!
buckeye1
HOW LONG BEFORE ND SCORES AN OFFENSIVE TD?
gdot
Gotta give the Buckeyes credit, they came in a dominated us in the 2nd half. It could have been a different game if the refs didn't blow the fumble returned for a touchdown call. Oh well, I'm still excited about the Dawgs.

USC sure had an impressive win over Nebraska.

ND looks like one of the worst teams I have ever seen. Good thing they do not play Appalachian State this year.

IMHO THERE ARE FOUR TEAMS IN THE BIG BOYS
DIVISION(USC,LSU,FLA AND OKLAHOMA)THEN THERE ARE SEVERAL GOOD TEAMS(UWVA,OSU,WISCONSIN,TEXAS AND PENN STATE )THAT COULD SNEAK UP IF SOMEONE IN THE BIG FOUR STUMBLES

Well you can bet at least one of the 4 will stumble. FLA @ LSU 10/6/07. Right now I would give the nod to LSU. But I totally agree with your top 4. And as we have seen this year everyone seems vunerable to an upset...

A little joke for ya...

What kind of battery does it take to shock Michigan?

I've just got to say the UTES looked good thumping UCLA 44-6.
We may not get too many of those this year so this was a great win.

Second that. I remember the last time Mich.State beat ND in So.Bend. Weis guaranteed that would never happen again.
Why hasn't he been "Willinghamed" already? Willingham never had it this bad in So.Bend. yet he was fired.

GOTTA LOVE COLLEGE FOOTBALL JUST FOR THE UPSETS ALONE.

It is not enough that the Pats are the king of the NFL, that the Sox are in the Series...the BC Eagles are ranked 2nd!! Not bad for a school that actually has academic admissions requirements and continuing requirements once admitted. Unlike the rest of the top 10.

I have been impressed with BC ever since my Alma Mater played them in a home/away series the past two seaons. Last one was thrilling, right into double overtime. They seem to be a well disciplined outfit. I knew about the academic requirements as well, very few school's like us anymore (even though we aren't even ranked this year.) Congrats!:D

Gators had a Great Seson last year, but lost to Auburn and LSU during the last few seconds of these games this year.

They did manage to beat Kentucky who beat #1 LSU the week before.

It still has been a fun season.

I did manage to go to the UF-Tenn Game last month.

My two favorite colleges are on the right track this year! ASU had a big win over Cal this week, and beating Oregon should vault them into second place in the BCS.

Uconn, which plays in the less than stellar Big East, is undefeated in conference play, and climbing the ladder towards a BCS bowl game.

Though, my favorite part of this year is that there are stil five undefeted teams, and four of them are from major conferences. That is pretty interesting stuff right there. If all the teams win out right, Ohio State would play ASU based on the BCS numbers because of ASU's late season strength of schedule. It is bullsh!t that a team like BC or Kansas wouldn't get to play for the national championship. This could be as bad as it gets, and if we have more than two undefeted teams from major conferences, the bcs bashing will start up again.

OSU MAY NOT BE THE BEST TEAM BUT THEY DO KEEP
WINNING.FEEL SORRY THAT WEISS HAS TO PLAY 17 YEAROLD KIDS,HA HA! JUST THINK ND HAS 6 MORE YEARS OF FAT ASS WEISS AS COACH.GOTTA LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!:D

because all that's available on the tube are meaningless college basketball games, meaningless NBA and NHL games and meaningless golf.

Why does the NFL wait until next week before playing Saturday games? Oh wait those NFL games are on the invisible NFL Network. Nevermind.

And going outside is not much of an option since I have to put up the Christmas lights, and my Alma Mater get to play ucla again, this time in the Las Vegas Bowl.

How do I post pictures from my new iMac?
TIA.

Nice Game LSU.
The SEC is still the strongest.
greatscot
Don't know if SEC is the strongest, but LSU looked great last night. Excellent victory for a Champion. Would like to see them play USC though.
Still don't understand how USC did not get to play for the National title.
I think the BCS needs to go the way of the dinosaur and we move on to a true National Championship plan where all conference champions play in an elimination playoff schedule to select the number one team.

Cant have a conference champion without a championship game in my opinion. So until all of the "major" conferences get on board and have a title game then you are just spinning your wheels. I would venture to say if USC played Oregon in a title game you might have Oregon complaining about getting shafted. Same could be said for Michigan as well. I just think there is too much dispairity between some conferences to make it work.

I have always believed you need to come up with a "Super Conference" with the top 28 teams (or whatever) and have a playoff similar to the NFL with 4 wild card teams invited from the "non super conference" to via for a championship. Problem is you would end up having too many teams saying they belonged in the super conference etc...

Its all about money and power. The major conferences just dont want to share the revenue with the others so.... things just stay where they are. And as far as the plus one... what a friggin joke...

I liked the SEC results. Numbers 1 & 2, and 5 of the top 15 teams.

I agree that all the conferences should have a championship game. Last year I think Florida's win in the SEC championship game boosted them into the title game. This year, Ohio State not having to play a championship game got them in, and Missouri having to play a championship game knocked them out. Should be consistent among conferences.

I like the GA president's idea to have an 8 team playoff, but it won't go anywhere. PAC 10 & Big 10 and Rose Bowl will never agree. All other NCAA football divisions and the NAIA have a playoff to determine a champion so it is doable.
