Can someone post pictures or tell me how to charge my AC unit in my 01 MDX ? I understand it is not too difficult.. I have bought a couple cans of replacement 134A's called EX12's. Does anyone have any input on this replacement types?
The dealer wants to charge me $150 to charge it.

| EX12 is a "drop-in" substitute for 134a. What is the flammability rating listed on the container? If it's flammable, it may be illegal. Even if not illegal, it may be really dangerous. |

First, you need to get a pressure gauge kit from either Walmart or Pepboys & a couple of REAL 134a feon cans. the low pressure port is located on the passenger side with the letter, "L" on the plastic cap, unscrew the cap & measure the port with pressure gauge to see what reading is it, 50psi indicated fully charged, if not charge one can at a time & take reading again. DO NOT OVERCHARGE, relieve the pressure by inserting a point metal into the tip of the port in a well ventilated area ( It's illegal to discharge feon to the atmosphere). see attached instruction. |
