I can't stand it....It's drizzling in Northern California Bay area. 3 days of possible rain....chilly too!
Just hand washed and waxed the X.........I am stuck here for 3 days ! :( :( :(
The RL remains in hibernation too!
So don't buy your new X until end of month as summer weather returns (Indian summer????????????????????????)

You should be ashamed of yourself. You just suffered through six months of California rainlessness and now you are complaining about a few days of drizzle. I hope you know your coon-ass pals are going to disown you. If you want to complain, complain about the long dry summer and the absence of lovebugs. Everybody know there ain't gonna be no good crawfish in the spring if it don't rain.
Please do not be offended by use of the word "coon-ass". Although once derogatory, I think those days are long gone. And if that ain't enough, I married a coon-ass and I'm therefore entitled to use the word any time I want. |

I'd never complain about the etouffe, but I just might give you my purse.
Although I'm not a fan of the weather in the deep south, the moments before a huge thunderstorm are magical and can not be duplicated in CA. I recall mowing the lawn on a hot and sunny spring day in Houston. I stopped the mower because I heard an unusual sound. Is that the sound of the '67 GT350 starting up at the end of my block? No, that's the sound of quarter-sized raindrops hitting the roadway at the end of my street. The weather was about to turn from hot and sunny to the hardest rain I've seen in my life in life. The change would take about one second. Awful includes the bugs, the heat, and the humidity. But you must miss the rain. You are forgiven for your whining about that drizzle crap they call precipitation in the Bay Area. |

I just walked out to get some air and low and behold, the sky is blue and it warmed up to 72 windless degrees!
Uncover that grill and prepare something as it GORGEOUS out again......gotta love this California weather! :2: |

My Moms makes the BEST crawfish etoufee. The reason is they can obtain the FRESH FAT which is required when you sautee your onions. Add that FAT and look out ! Talk about good........

I went home one summer to visit my parents. We were on I-10 coming back from a day visit in New Orleans. We noticed to our right a solid black wall of clouds blowing across our lanes.....My father said, exit here and go to ST. Martinville to take a short cut. As we entered the town THUNDER, LIGHTING, WINDS started along with Rain drops the size of quarters. We pulled into a grocery store lot and ran in the store. It moved thru in like 15 minutes and was clear blue skies afterwards! Scared the crapolla out of me!
I went home this summer in May and it rained everyday at 4 p.m. then cleared by 5 p.m. I kinda miss that weather as I get tired of watering my flower beds and yarn daily as it reaches 80-90 daily which just dries out everything..... |

It snowed just a little in Tahoe! Woo f'ing Hoo! I love it when it rains here. I think my kids are the only ones in their school who think its great when its too rainy and cold to have PE and recess outside.
Pray for snow. You get off on washing/waxing your X anyway. If it get dirty its just another chance for you to brag about your Zaino skills and take pics of your baby. |
