Took the tonka truck into the dealership yesterday to take another look at the clunking noise (thud) coming from the rear of the vehicle on bumps, stops, starts in the morning...
Service advisor said that they have found that the brake pads may be the cause of it. The brake pads, which should move in & out for braking tend to also pivot up and down and hang in the up position until they pop loose, which is why it is common for the noise to be heard in the mornings after you've applied the brake for the first time.
They are going to put a rubber coating on the outer rims of the pads to deaden the thud.
Does this make sense to anyone?
Just curious... |
