Well - The reason why the Lexus screen appear brighter and has more clarity is because of the higher resolution display. The icons and interface looks really good compared to the Acura display. Check it out and compare when you get a chance. - And - No - Im not knocking Acura's Nav system at all. It is more customer friendly and easier to navigate than the Lexus Nav.

What Lexus are you comparing this too? I've compared this with a 2005 RX330. Result, RX330 sucks big time. You can't even see anything when sitting on passenger's side.

This thread was suppose to be a response to the "Is it me or is the back-up picture fuzzy?? " thread were he is compaing displays. Where the author was comparing the g350 display to his MDX display. I myself have a IS250 - 2007. I'm looking to trade it in by years end for a SUV. I use to own a 2004 TSX and the MDX has sparked my interest because its the most beautiful SUV out on the market.

I've always been a bit disappointed with the brightness of the MDX Navi also. Our other car is a 2003 Lexus ES300 and the Navi screen in it is much brighter than on my 2003 MDX even with it set to full bright. That's about the only advantage to Lexus though. The MDX Navi is better in all other respects. We really like that the passenger can enter new searches "on the fly" in the MDX. Can't do that without having to stop first on the Lexus.
