I have a 90 lb lab that I don't want slobering on my new MDX. I have a plastic dog carrier for him but it is to big for the back end.
Anybody have a better idea? |

| If you dog drools, you can have your vet perform surgery to remove a small portion of the dogs jowel that forms a channel for the drool to drop on the upholstery. My Great Pyrenees has this surgery and is drooless!! He is 120 lbs so there's more potential drool!:D |

| I suggest you check with Rails over on the Drooling Mirror thread. I believe he has a possible fix for the drooling Lab but it does involve disassembling the dog which could be tricky. Seriously, I also have a 75 pound female Lab. We have the tray in the back with a dog gate between the rear and 2nd row seats. We just let her drool. We love our Lab a bit more than the MDX. BTY there is an excellent posting board group in AOL under Labrador Retrievers. We found alot of great advice there. |

| I have a 120 lbs Great Dane and she loves going for rides. She rides in the back. I have the cargo liner and then I throw a few towels down too. The cargo liner looks good since I have the ebony interior. The only problem I have is she is able to turn on the interior light with the top of her back. She gets up to turn around and the she hits the light. If you are interested in the ultimate travel kennel check out the Eezzi (sp?) crates. They are awesome. Kind of like a pop tent for dogs. Go to Doglogic.com.... |

Our yellow Lab sheds hair faster than the shop-vac can pick it up...
We have the cargo-liner, and it's perfect. I just throw a moving blanket on top, and she's happy as can be. When clean-up time comes, I shake out the blanket and vacuum the back. Unlike most car carpet, the liner gives the hair up.
Good luck. |
