Here are pics which confirms that the original spare tire can be replaced by a full size wheel & tire with the Acura tow package installed. It still had quite a bit of clearance.
The wheel is a 19" Enkei RS7 with 255/50ZR-19 tire. Wheel came off my 03' MDX, for test fit only.

For folks with a 01'-06' MDX, I'm selling this set of 19" Enkei RS7 with tires. They're still new. I posted them in the Classified section. More pics there.

| Thanks for confirming this techm8n! I guess so far the OEM hitch is the only hitch option with a full size spare, correct? |

Sure, no problem.
Other X owners with an aftermarket tow hitch will have to help us confirm if a full size spare will fit with their tow hitch. |

... After installing the hitch last night, this was a find I was not expecting at all, and did not want to see as well.
If I had known this ahead of time, I would have ordered the factory hitch and bumper attachment instead.
Finally a downside to the Valley Hitch. And one I am saddened to find.

As you can see from Randy B's post, a full-sized spare will not fit underneath the MDX with the Valley hitch installed. |

we really need to get to the bottom of this.
These are sitting in my garage and if you all don't want them I would like to know. |

no one did.
they are NOT on craigslist or Ebay.
they are going to stay in my garage and I'll just keep them as in 9-10 months I'll need new tires anyways!!
It just left a bad taste in my mouth after I had a deal (or so thought) with Randy and after clearing out my schedule to meet him last sat or sunday (yes, I left both days open) as he wanted me to drive and meet him, he decided that he didn't need this anymore.
I'm sorry you all got draged into this not doing anything wrong. It is just to complicated dealing with people who aren't sure or who you cannot depend on.
I was going OUT of my way and even willing to drive half way to Orlando (1.5 hrs) to meet randy and deliver these wheels. I think that was more than fair of me to do... |

Easy now Fasvsix. Don't loop me into this mess. I didn't intend for Heat to not sell his wheels here. I know you're upset, but don't blame me or call me a jerk. |

If you look back in this thread I said "Heat, post your wheels in Craigslist.org", that's all. |

Thanks for the pics and info, techm8n. I just received my full size spare today, from another member here, and am thrilled that there won't be any issues installing it with the OEM hitch. |

I just had a local Hitch sotre installed a Hidden Hitch on my 08 MDX including labor for about $180. The full size tire easily fit under it with room to spare!

Maha,
Do you have a part number for this hitch? Maybe it has been redesigned?? |
