Anybody have any experience with liquid glass, I know this a pro
zaino site, but liquid glass seems to be a similiar type product.

I didn't know they still made that stuff. I used it 20 years ago. As I recall, they recommend multiple coats and to let the sun bake it in between coats. It was so long ago that the car I used it one was not clear coat, but a black enamel paint.

It looked really good with many coats, but I suspect there would products with newer technology that would produce similiar results with less work.

What ar after, maximum shine or longer protection?

Any one has any thought on this new Zaino "Z-CS" Clear Seal. I know it's a "Lazy man's" bottle, but if it works, why not?

I've tried the new Z-AIO and Z-CS. I think they are great products for the person who wants to spend as little time as possible maintaining the appearance of their vehicle.

If you start out with paint in good condition, and your car is normally garaged, I think you could spend as little as one hour per year applying Z-AIO and Z-CS to maintain your vehicle's appearance. Figure one application of Z-AIO per year at 30 minutes per application, and three applications of Z-CS three months apart at 10 minutes per application (five minutes is probably more accurate, leaving you fifteen minutes to clay the horizontal surfaces and spot clay the vertical surfaces once per year).

One hour per year, that's all it takes. Products like this are why I call BS on people that think you have to spend a lot of time to keep your car looking good.

No kidding, that is so easy I may even get it! I was thinking about getting the zaino wax, and bringing it to a detailing shop and having them do it, again, because I am lazy

Liquid Glass is good stuff. To be honest, it's really what paved the way for Zaino. They're the same type of product...a polymer based sealant.

I stick with Liquid Glass because I've never seen (literally) a reason to switch to anything else. And I've used lots of other stuff before it like Zymol, Meguiar's, Mother's, and a couple others.

I just used the liquid glass pre cleaner and 1 coat of polish
on 1 fender, all i can say is amazing, smooth and shiny, i can't
wait to do the rest of the x and then the second coat, great stuff,
readily available at an auto parts place.

Most sealants tend to make swirls more noticeable rather than hide them. Waxes are much better at hiding swirls.

If you're inexperienced and don't know how to remove swirls (i.e. you've never handled anything beyond an orbital polisher like a Porter Cable 7424), your best bet is to use a wax containing a lot of fillers to hide the swirls. Meguiar's NXT Tech Wax is such a product. It will fill in a single coat what takes Zaino Z-5 Pro (itself advertised as possessing fillers) five or more coats. Of course, once the product wears off, your swirls are back.

You might try topping the Meguiar's NXT Tech wax with Zaino CS. That way you get the longevity of Zaino and the filling power of NXT Tech Wax to hide your swirls.

The best product like that I've ever used was 3M Imperial Hand Glaze. Meguiar's #7 glaze was also pretty good. It really really gives a black car the whole wet look where the swirl marks are masked by the shine. Of course, one good wash and it goes away.

Glazes do not provide any protection and are not meant to be a last-step product (LSP). You're supposed to follow it up with a wax, or a sealant that can cure over the glaze. Otherwise, as you say, the first wash removes all the oil and fillers and the swirls reappear.

I found a bottle of Meguiars "scratch X" in the garage and tried a small area in the back. it did a great job of removing the swirls/scratches and I think I'm going to use it on the entire car.

I will then follow it up with a coat of glass.

problem solved.

Can't wait to try these lazy man's goodies. Come to think of it, this 6 oz of CS is more expensive than a bottle of a typ. tequila. :2:

Zaino claims you can do an average car with 0.25 oz., so that bottle could do 24 cars. It's not as bad when you think of it that way.

My last Zaino purchase was made through the northern CA distributor, who works out of his car at various locations in Silicon Valley. It was like meeting for a drug buy, "Meet me in the XXX parking lot near the McDonalds. I'll be in the dark blue XXX." Then I walk up to him and ask, "Hey man, got some CS for sale???"

There's a So Cal. distributor too who does will-call orders, so you can drop by and pick up stuff w/o waiting for shipping from across the country.

My X was covered with Z-CS this past weekend. Total time = 20mins. Total oz = 0.75oz. Total result = mirror like. Worst part = 24hrs drying time. :(

.... this stuff works like wonder. I love it. :29:
