I just finalized all the paperwork for my Black / Ebony X Tech 07.

I can't wait to pick it up Wednesday.

Some of the goodies I accessorized with are

Sport Running Boards

Body Side Moldings

All windows tinted

Front and Rear Garnishes

I got the dealer to throw in wheel locks, cargo net, and all season floor mats. I need to pick up the cargo cover from the service center.

Needless to say I am so pumped, too bad I have to be gentle for the first 6 - 800 miles ;)

Congrats!

Nice accessories addition. How about roof rails & cross bars?
tophinator
Funny you asked that lion. I called the dealer up this morning to add the roof rails but not the cross rails. I also had them install tint on the 2 front windows, not as dark as the back windows but since my interior is ebony it will appear darker. It was funny because as I went shopping yesterday with the fiance we noticed almost all the suvs had roof or cross rails lol :D

Congrats,
That's very true about the roof rails. To me, the SUV w/o roof rails is just like a pretty girl with a bald head.

I got roof rails for my X but refused to install cross bars. Do you think it looks better with cross bars?

Most definitely, cross bars adds masculine figure & boost the tosterone level of my X by the power of 10.

quyen, does your name come with ^` on letter e?

Me too... I didn't like the bare look of the MDX roof. I would never use the roof rails to tie stuff, but got it to enhance the appearance. I try to stay away from the cross bars as some have complained about wind noise.

You would think roof rails would be standard as they are for some suvs. I may have overspent on accessories but it's just too tempting not to equip your car with goodies.

I think about the only thing I didn't get was the Lojack. I thought it would save me some $ on insurance but when I called they said 15 -20$ a year so scratch that.

lol nevermind lion you got me there.

How much did the dvd head rests cost ? You have any pics of your hid fogs and did you install them yourself or had the dealer ?

I am not too fond of the plain yellow fogs.

Since the crossbars are what you essentially rest your load on, I am not sure what is the point of installing the rails without the crossbars unless it's only for aesthetics. Personally, I think the cross bars make it look more complete and functional.

The crossbars are shaped rather aerodynamically with the front slightly larger and tapers to the rear, and curved to follow the contour of the roof. So far I have not heard any whistling or wind noise on mine unless I am carrying stuff on the roof.

I tend to agree with you on this point, eujinc, though even without the cross bars, the rails are useful to tie items securely to the roof. Of course, depending on what you've got riding up there, you run the risk of scratching up the paint, which is precisely why I intend to have cross bars installed along with the roof rails on my X before Christmas arrives and I start lashing trees to the roof. Don't get me wrong, I'm still gonna put a blanket down, but at least now I don't have to run the string through the car and worry about whether or not the tree is going to go flying into the cars behind me when I'm doing 60+ on the Merritt Parkway.

Adam

2 TVs & DVD combo cost around $1,000. Fog & DRL are MTEC 4,350K, self-installed. Some members in here can install each side in 10 mins or less. See Fog light upgrade to HID thread.

This is going to sound like a stupid question, but LionSpeed, do you also have the Entertainment package? If so, that's a lot of screens!

craniotes, no I don't have entertainment package. Why? because Acura LCD is purely no comparison to panasonic or sharp headrest LCDs due to quality & angle. True. I have total of 3 screens watching DVDs at same time. In the meanwhile, I'm in a process of researching & hooking up a TV tuner & a MAC Mini for those 3 screens.

So, by three screens are you also counting the NAV screen? If so, how did you manage to pipe the DVD feed through there (I know it's possible, but I'm sure it's hella complicated). That's one feature that I would love to have -- strictly for when the vehicle is in "Park", which is how it's set up in other factory NAV units.

Anyway, be sure to post when you get the TV tuner Mac Mini hooked up (along with instructions...). In the meanwhile, I'm going to go about getting some MTECs for my fogs and DRLs.

Adam

... On the same note. I really enjoy the surround sounds (monster video/audio cables baby) when watching DVDs. Seating in the second row, you can really enjoy & spot each individual speakers. Infact, I often turn my head chasing after those sound effects. LOL.

3 screens including NAV. NAV can be used by itself and/or DVD at same time as other two. As far hook audio to our system, I use this (see pic below). Recommend high quality audio/video cable i.e. monster ...
