Tim at hondacuraworld matched the price from H and A, so I purchased from him for this and several oil filters.
Installation was very straight forward. I was able to install without removing the complete overhead console box with sunglass door. I only dropped the two front screws by the sunglass door, and left the rear ones in. I had plenty of room for all connections and saved a little time.
The unit I received was the correct part number however, it has changed from the photos of the Acura catalog. The compass is now in the lower center part of the mirror housing. Not in the upper right hand corner of the mirror itself.
I have attached a couple of pictures showing the difference. The one here is what I received and installed. I'm actually happy with the new design.

The one you ordered and installed is the same one that I have installed in my X. Not that it matters, but I wonder, does anyone have the one pictured in the catalog?

| The one in the 08 does not have a compass. It's auto dim only, like the one in the first gen. |

Homelink has buttons in the overhead console not the mirror.

Did you have to unplug the neg power from the baterry like the instruction say? If so, did you have to re-code your radio? I just ordered one and would like to know how complicate to install it. |

I did not disconnect the battery and therefore no radio reset. Very easy install. Took me 20 minutes in the morning, taking my time. Two or four phillips head screws, depending on whether or not you remove the whole overhead console as the instructions state. I only removed the front two. near the sunglass holder. Have a light handy and you will see the factory plug mounted above the headliner toward the front facing the passenger side.

| I also did not disconnect the power. Just be sure the mirror is not powered - i.e. take the key out of the ignition! |

| How much bigger is this mirror compared to the original? Any chance of someone taking a side by side photo of the 2 mirrors? |

Suprisingly, the mirror part is the same size for both which makes sense for using existing template. |

Does anyone know how much "replacement" 08 Mirrors cost and if they can be plugged into the harness on the 07s.
If I could save a few bucks by getting one without a compass (which isn't really necessary as we have GPS) I would rather just go with that.
