A lot of members here get stuff from Tim at hondacuraworld, one of the sponsors here.
Here are the instructions. |

I installed it myself. Quite easy actually. Whole bunch of clips and screws to take off and keep track. Having an assistant would be good to help remove and reinstall the bumper. I took off the bumper myself and realized too late that this was a rather large bumper  . Good thing it was very light. The instructions were pretty good. No surprises.
There are several places you can get it from. I went the eBay route and got it from Curry Acura. |

| I installed it myself too. Having an assistant would help but not necessary. The instruction does look a bit intimidating. |

| So you actually have to pull the front bumber to install the garnish? How long did that take you? |

Yes, both front & rear bumpers come off. The rear took 30mins. The front took 45mins + clean up = 1.5hr. |

The color of the front garnish looks different from the grill. Can you confirm?
Thanks,

The colors looked a little different but then again, one is dimpled and somewhat faces upwards and the other smooth and facing the ground. Even if the colors are identical, they will probably still look different. |

I agree. It looks stunning in black. Off to order some garnish; since my wood wheel will have to wait :D |

Trust me, it was so easy. Infact I really don't mind doing it all over again. Don't let a few pages of instructions discourage you from what you want.

Taking off the bumper is the easy part. Wait till you get to drilling the 8 holes and cutting the 2 flanges off your brand new bumper. Not to mention if you have a front plate, you need to trim off the lower part of the plate holder to fit as it overlaps with the garnish.
But honestly, it's not difficult at all. An hour is probably all you need to get the whole job done :29:.
... Now, putting on roof rails, well that's a little more involved. |

that sounds so difficult to do already. guess i am taking it to a dealer or let somebody at the shop install it for me then. |

Help! I have taken out all the clips and screws but the bumper still seems to be firmly attached and I am rather reluctant to just pull on it. It speaks of four connectors, are those for the fog lights? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

| Make sure that you removed all the hardware and plastic clips (check the installation manual for your lower garnish , it tells you what to remove). Bumper is held by snap in tabs, just gently pull it away from the car. start at one side and move toward the middle. i would suggest to get somebody to assist t hold the bumper, it is rather large and hard to hold. |

| An assistant is nice to have but not necessary. I've a short chair to hold one side while prying out the other side. Simple as it sounds, follow these instruction step by step is crucial. Installed both front & rear lower garnish all by myself in less than 2 hours. Marg juice in between of course. :) |

The connectors are for the fog lights and DRLs. I couldn't quite disconnect them (no patience) so I simply unscrewed the bulbs still connected to the connectors. Once off, the bumper should come off easily. |

All Installed!! Thanks for the help. I did have the factory directions, I was just somewhat reluctant to pull on the bumpers not knowing how they clipped on, so I just wanted to ask someone before I did.
Oh by the way, six days after purchasing my 08, this was my first mod! Sport running boards are next!

| Congrats on your first mod. The front garnish was also my first and it too was put on within the first week of ownership. |

Tom, on the sport running boards, make sure you have a universal knuckle socket, that's the only way you can get the end caps screwed on. That was a bad design on Honda's part. I also used a universal knuckle with a power drill to install the 24 bolts that holds the mounts to the undercarriage. That saved my wrist. |
