Hello, I've researched the numerous threads...looking for a recommendation on a service department/dealer in the greater Chicagoland area.

If anyone has had a good experience with what looks to be a complete Tranny replacement

(shuddering, and the rumble strip noises for an 01 with 120k)

I'd be grateful for a recommendation.

Thank you!

I had my '03 MDX serviced at Libertyville Acura and I now have my '06 serviced at Pauly.

I've had good experiences at both service departments.

While I assume Pauly would foot the bill for the trans, I can vouch that Libertyville changed out my wife's best friend's 2002's transmission last year with her MDX that had 80+ thousand miles for free and gave her a (3 year?) warranty on it.

While every case is different, it might not hurt to give Pauly and Libertyville a call to see their take on it.

I would NOT go to Ed Napleton in Elmhurst. There service department and sales department is the absolute worst.

I have heard good things about Pauly in HP and the Acura in Libertyville.
