| We own a 2001 MDx with 98k miles. We were driving in town when it got "stuck " at 20mph and then jerked forward. We could not go beyond 45mph. We took the car to the dealership the next morning and they finally got the car to reproduce what we experienced after several attempts. There were no error codes that were found during their tsting. They diagnosed the problem as a failing transmission. We took it to another repair shop and they comfirmed that the transmission is failing, but expressed that a car with this few miles should not be having this problem. After reading many entries on this website, I called Acura Client services to see what they can do. The information has been forwarded to a case manager, I am expecting a return call. Please advise me with what is a reasonable request for us to make. All service has been done at the dealership it was purchased from, with the exception of two small services at another Acura dealership while traveling. We have done all required and recommended services and taken very good care of our vehicle. It is our family car that we are hoping to have last many more years. Any and all advice and information is appreciated. |

| Good luck! In some cases Acura has covered it 100% with no questions asked, in other cases they split the cost 50/50, and sometimes they flat out refuse to cover anything. Work with your dealer, Acura Client Services, and if necessary ask for the Regional manager. Let us know how it turns out. |
