| The only thing close to a coin holder is the little compartment in front of the shift lever that also houses the power outlet. |
|
|
| Fabvsix |
| Yeah, the compartment that says "Not an ash tray".... |

Coins are best kept in your pocket otherwise they can fall, roll and begin rattles or even better, lodge on the seat tracks and cause problems......Just an fyi.....:1:
Besides who carries that "dirty" stuff around anyway? I'm ATM all the time.....Currency is LOADED with germs..... |

| that coin thing is just for toll sometime |
|
|
| LionSpeed |
Coin for toll? don't you get a sticker for that?
Anyway, LA county in SoCal has already been installing some parking meters that use your typ credit card. Soon it'll be widespread & no more excuses eh? True, coins are dangerous sometimes if they are dropped in areas that they shouldn't be in. I would love to have coin holder subtitute to the (2) rear AUTO windows. Cheap Acura for making AUTO just for the 2 front. |

The only way to build up an immunity to those germs is to be exposed to them... not that you are a kid, but kids today with the anti-bacterial everything are not building healthy immune systems!
I use the "Not an ash tray for my coins", though I use Amex for everything, I like paying one bill a month and earning serious points. |

| a few years back on 20/20 or 60 minutes, they had a segment on paper currency. They had found "2" forms of bacteria amongst other stuff like cocaine and I forgot what else. Ever since then I seldom mess with bills........If you atm most then you have few coins to collect.....How many pennies (jar/jug penny bank) do you think each house hold has in America ????????????????? I tell people it cost more to make them than what they are worth.....waste of time..... |

My conclusion .... Fabvsix is a cleanning/organizing FANATIC (sounds like me  ) and gmc74 is a DIRTY PIG.

Also traced on 20/20 was a section on "house hold cats" and their cat boxes.....Those who had cats that lived 100% indoors with cat boxes found bacteria in humans from cat boxes.......So those who breath cat box crapo, even though you clean it, you are still exposed to lovely bacteria from the cat box....
NO thanks ! |

| I try to think I'm clean, but I think you win. I'm not wild about touching public buttons, door knobs, atm buttons in stores.....They use to call my Grandfather "Dr. Elbows" as he would open everything with his elbows.......genes you know.....I wash my hands everytime I return from an outing......YOU EVER WONDER WHY DOCTORS SELDOM GET SICK???????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????? |

Are you giving away currency with "germs"? |

See, I look at it the other way. Doctors seldom get sick because they are exposed to a number of germs every day and their bodies build up an immunity to them.
I did see the piece you are talking about, also saw one about unwrapped mint bowls and pretzel/nut bowls at bars... ewwww, there was urine in almost every one they tested!
I am definitely not a filfthy pig, though I am not the most organized person in the world. My work life is, my personal life, not so much. My house and car are clean though, but that is cause I have a cleaning lady :) |
|
|
| Fabvsix |
My cleaning lady comes tomorrow.....relief.....
Wash your hands often to avoid getting sick. Don't touch your face with your fingers, esp. don't bite your finers nails etc.....eeeewwwwww |

| I use the MDX accessory ashtray purchased from hondacurawold.com. I store the ashtray in the center console cup holder and it also fits on the door cup holder. Just remove the metal cigarette holder and you will have a very handy "coin holder". |
|
|
| Heat00 |
that is where I keep the cell phone, in the "not an ashtray"
so... still no where for coins.
it is retarded. need more compartments and certainly could use a real coin holder, there is plenty of room in the center console, why didn't they just install one there.
for now, all of my coins get thrown into the center console.
there is no where else for them!!!!! |

Not to mention a nice thing to mount your Sirius Stiletto to! |

I store my cell phone in my pocket, who needs it with hands free link?
You could always store the coins under the cell phone ya know.
My wife bought me this little organizer deal that slips between the passenger seat and the center console. I thought it was kind of stupid, but it works great at holding small things like a lighter and a pack of smokes

Yes I hear you, excpet unfortunately I have a Treo 755p that doesnt work great with HFL. I have to dial with the handset or voice dial in order to use the HFL on outgoing calls. kind of annoying, but phone must stay out. can't use voice dial all the time ie people in the car or you need a number from the phone book etc. Or I have to say "transfer" to use HFL after I dial.... hated...
works great on incoming if I answer w/the sterring wheel.
so... coins build up quick and will scratch the treo, can't put em in the "not an ashtray" slot.. :(
could just use another storage space somewhere, would have been nice to have the one in the door for the phone or smokes
and something to sort out the coins or keep them somewhere handy.
I did notice in the non-nav X, where I have the wheel, there is another compartment which helped in my loaner, perfect for the phone. |

This isn't exactly what I have http://www.audio-discounters.com/alap-15.html but it may work
The thing I have extends down much further which helps it stay in place, and out of the lap of the passenger... it works great!
I have the same issues with my Blackjack that you have with your Treo, I just loaded the people I call into the phone book by hand... a pain in the ass, but it works. |

Maybe you can still use that "not an ashtray" for your coins and this cell phone holder thingy for your Treo. |

hmmm.. that looks very interesting...
do any of you have one of these??? |
|
|
| craniotes |
I keep the coins in the "not an ashtray" and my Treo in the second cupholder. If both cupholders are occupied, then the Treo goes in the center console or the door pocket. Like Heat, I need to have it handy because of its inability to import the phonebook (I'm with Verizon, which means that none of their phones will work). At least the BT pairing works like a charm.
This "Kuda" thingy looks interesting...
Regards,
Adam
PS - Heat, how do you get your Treo to fit in the "not an ashtray"? |
|
|
| eujinc |
| My Treo actually fits ok in the NAA together with whatever coins I have. Then again I have the classic Treo 650 which incidentally works without any problems with the HFL except the battery seem to drain fairly quickly whenever I'm in the X. |
|
|
| Heat00 |
I miss my 650, was probably the best treo ever..
i then went to 700p, and now 755p. it works great except the b/t, not that b/t is important or anything lol. |

| I was completely forgotten about my coin holder. Got this a long long time ago at Target? or Pepboys? One of these store. Anyway, thought share this with you guys. |
|
|
| eujinc |
| I like that. Very functional. You do lose one cup holder but then we have 3 more up front. |
|
|
| Heat00 |
that looks great..
for now coins are just going into the big box in the middle.
as for the treo, its a 755p and I sit it sideways in the box, if not it slides in and is gone forever. it's backside sits up against the powerplug. I don't like keeping in a cupholder because it gets wet if the drink next to it is ice cold :)
my cigs sit in the 2nd cupholder
I guess its ok for now... not sure If I want to add that phone holder kuda... |
